Thsarny Pieree
Hi! My name is Thsarny Pierre and I am currently attending Three Rivers Community College. I will be transferring the Eastern Connecticut State University next fall to get my bachelors degree in Accounting. I have been working at Thames Valley’s amazing summer camp for the past two years and it has honestly been the best experience, from the gymnastics to the water activities to the camp songs. Every week is different and not one day is the same!. Mrs. Sue is an amazing leader and this program could not have happened without her hard work, determination and love for the campers, I always look forward to seeing all the campers and their happy faces as we go on a new adventure each day!

Shea Lee
Hi! I am Shea Lee. I have been working at Thames Valley Gymnastics as a coach for 4 years now and a summer counselor for the past 3 years. I am currently a senior at Kings College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania studying psychology. The TVAG summer camp is such a fun experience not just for the kiddos, but us counselors as well. Coach Sue knows how to get the job done while still being efficient, safe, and having lots of fun. I know I look forward to getting to know these kids and see their excitement every day as they walk through the doors of camp. Some of these kids have been with use since we started, so it is super awesome to watch them grow as an individual. As for the kiddos who are even there for a few days, it is so heartwarming to see them not want to leave and ask when they are coming back. The counselors are such amazing people and have become my family. I could not think of any better people to work with at this camp, that i trust and respect. We hope to see your smiling faces and that you can experience this with use next summer.
Ally Toppa
My name is Ally Toppa! I am a graduate from Norwich Free Academy and now attend Springfield College where I am pursuing a doctorate degree in occupational therapy! I am a member of the softball team at Springfield and am involved with many other clubs, too, such as Pre-Camp, Best Buddies, Special Olympics, and SOTA. I have had the privilege of working at the Thames Valley Academy of Gymnastics Summer Camp for three years! This camp is easily the highlight of my summer– every week I am greeted by positive energy and smiling faces from all of the wonderful campers and coaches! The coaches at camp are some of the most selfless, kind, and responsible people I know, making sure camp runs efficiently and smoothly while still providing a fun and exciting atmosphere! Our all day games, activities, and crafts like capture the flag (which is a contender for camp favorite), gymnastics, and dances make it impossible to be bored! Additionally, our lovely camp head Sue is one of the most amazing people I know! She welcomes anyone and everyone with open arms and a bright smile, making you feel welcome right away! Sue is extremely accommodating and understanding, and is extremely active and involved in all that we do at camp!

Ruchi Ladd
Hi I am Ruchi Ladd. I am attending Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and majoring in fashion design. I’ve been working at this summer camps for about three years now and I have never gotten tired of it. The energy is there from the moment you walk through the door. Whether it’s when we are outside drawing with chalk or inside making crafts, the kids make me smile. Working with Sue makes me confident and prepared because she is so organized.

Kevin Portofee
Hello! My name is Kevin Portofee and I have been a camp counselor here at Thames Valley since our very first summer camp. I have been a gymnast for over a decade now and have earned various athletic awards regionally, nationally, and collegiately. My gymnastics community has been my family over the years and that has motivated me to spread this sense of community to all of the gymnasts that I coach. In other words, teaching gymnastics has become a passion of mine and having this opportunity through the summer camp has been a pleasure. due to the amount of time we spend with the campers, we are able to see them grow and develop, not only in gymnastics ability, but as people. I have seen this development whether a camper is there a day, week, or all summer. I hope to see your gymnast (or soon-to-be gymnast) with us next summer!
